Polly was born on March 30, 1920 in Perham, Minnesota to Joseph and Frances (Lucas) Bautch. She married Louis J. Theisen on June 25, 1940 at St. Joseph’s Catholic Church in Waite Park. They resided in St. Cloud, Grand Forks and Delano prior to returning to St. Cloud in 1986. In addition to raising eight children, Polly was employed for Tonka Toys for 17 years, retiring in 1983. She was a member of St. Anthony’s Parish.
Polly enjoyed bowling, bingo, playing cards and spending time with her family.
She is survived by her children, Carol Jean Theisen of St. Cloud, Daniel of St. Cloud, Robert of Waite Park, Larry of Princeton, Richard (Linda) of St. Cloud, Mary Ellen Major (fiancé Joel) of Winthrop; 25 grandchildren; 33 great grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews.
She was preceded by her parents, husband; Louis in 1985; children, Sandra L. Lechner in 2009, Thomas J. in 2013; grandson; Thomas J. Lechner; son and daughters-in-law, Thomas P. Lechner, Geri Theisen, Elke Theisen; great granddaughter Sandra Ree; brothers, Paul, Frank, Stanley, Claude and Raymond Bautch; and sisters, Josephine Orton, Cecilia Russell, Lucy Bautch and Theresa Bautch.
