Stanley V. Bautch, 86, Hibbing resident died Monday, December 24, 2007 at Fairview University Medical Center. He was born in Perham MN, on July 4, 1921 and was an Army Air Force Veteran of WW II. Stan was a Bricklayer for most of his life and had been employed with the Hibbing Public Utilities retiring as a Foreman. He enjoyed gardening, fishing, feeding the deer and birds, and collecting and building things. He was a member of the Bricklayers Union, the American Legion and the Blessed Sacrament Catholic Parish.
He is survived by his wife, Barbara Leino Bautch, 7 children, Stanley J. "Chesty" Bautch, Grand Marais, Kathleen "Kitty" (Harry) Clark, Chisholm, Van (Barbara) Bautch, Side Lake, Mary Smith, Hibbing, Lorin Bautch, Oxford, MI, Rebecca "Becky" (Telford) Griffin, Oxford, MI, and John Bautch, Tempe, AZ, 5 step children, John Leino, Mpls., Dennis (Bonnie) Leino, Hibbing, Dan (Terri) Leino, Hibbing, Gloria (Kim) Schmelke, Keewatin, Sharon (Victor) Chacich, Apple Valley, MN, 4 sisters, Balbina Theisen, Waite Park, MN, Cecilia Russell, Toni Bautch, and Theresa Bautch all in Washington, 16 grandchildren, 6 step grandchildren, 26 great grandchildren, 4 step great grandchildren, and 7 great great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents 5 brothers and one sister.
Funeral services will be at 1:30 pm. Friday in the Blessed Sacrament Catholic Church with the Rev. Fr. Peter Muhich celebrating the Mass of Christian Burial. Visitation will be from 6:00 to 8:00 pm. Thursday in the Dougherty Funeral Home and continue from 12:30 to 1:15 pm. Friday in the funeral home. Burial will be in the Maple Hill Cemetery. Pallbearers will be, Kevin Bautch, Van Bautch J., Stan Bautch Jr., Derek Bautch, Jeremy Chacich, Michael Chacich, Matthew Schmelk and Daniel Leino. Honorary pallbearers will be, Tim Tymenski, Jim Collins, Richard Smith, Joe Skerjance, Ed Sabbatini and Dick Spearman.
