GEORGE E. TAYLOR.

George E. Taylor, 56, died at his home in the Salem community of this ward at 4 o'clock A. M., Tuesday, May 3rd, after a brief illness of heart attack.

Mr. Taylor had been in ill health for several years, but his condition had so much improved during the past year that his friends had almost assured themselves that he would completely recover. Therefore, his death was somewhat sudden and unexpected to them.

The deceased is survived by the widow, Mrs. Della Patterson Taylor and the following sons and daughter: W. Broadus Taylor, Herbert Taylor, O. B. Taylor, Gordon Taylor, Leo Taylor, Prentiss Taylor, Aylmer Grey Taylor, Carl Everett Taylor, Burvil Taylor and Miss Rebecca Taylor, all of this parish.

Funeral services were held at 4:30 o'clock P. M., Tuesday, conducted by Rev. W. C. Smith of Farmerville. Interment was made in the Taylor cemetery.

The deceased was the son of the late Benjamin Taylor prominent for many years in the affairs of the parish. He was also a brother of Dr. J. G. Taylor of Farmerville.
