BRITTONS NECK [Marion Co.]—Funeral services for Claudia Chandler Alford, 87, were held at 11:30 a.m. Monday, Aug. 22, 2005, at Central United Methodist Church.... Burial followed in Old Neck Cemetery, directed by Smith-Collins Funeral Home.
Mrs. Alford, widow of Henry H. Alford, died Friday, Aug. 19, at Carolina Pines Regional Medical Center after an illness. She was born on June 2, 1918 in Williamsburg County, the daughter of the late George Franklin Chandler and the late Lela Davis Chandler. She was a homemaker and a member of Central United Methodist Church.
Surviving are four daughters, Andra Risinger of Charleston, Carol (Mike) Edwards of Hartsville, Darlene Baxley of Rock Hill and Donna Driggers of Marion; her grandchildren, Delaine Driggers Slusser, Travis Alford Driggers, Benji Risinger, Allison Baxley, Matthew Baxley, Milissa Baxley and Carmen Edwards; and a sister, Clara Lee Snowden of Darlington....
