Former Paulding County Man Dies Aged 61

Albert A. Ankney, 61, who has been ill for about a year with hight blood pressure, and who suffered a stroke Tuesday, died last Thursday morning at his late home in Defiance.

Mr. Ankney, a son of David and Ellen Ankney, was born March 19, 1879 in Paulding county. He was married Nov. 21, 1906, to Helen M. Wirtz, Defiance. For seven years he was employed at the Mallable Iron Works, Toledo, and the Findlay brick yard before returning to Defiance where he was employed until 1928 by C. J. Miller and Son, coal dealers. He then started farming and retired because of ill health a year ago.

Surviving are his wife, Helen M; two sons, Louis, Detroit, and Chester, Chicago; three daughters, Mrs. Vera Haise, Defiance, Mrs. Goldie Sculey, Detroit; and Mrs. Grace Mack, Detroit; four brothers, Gideon, Paulding county, Louis and William, both of Toledo, and Lester, Defiance; four sisters, Mrs. Carrie Louge, Charlton, Mich., Mrs. Henrietta Hale, Jackson, Mich., Mrs. Clara Evix, Toledo, and Mrs. Malinda Zimmerman, Port Washington, O., and four grandchildren.
