Adam and his twin sister (pictured here)were the youngest of Robert's children all born in Louisiana.

Huffman, Adam Confederate Cavalry
26th Regiment, Texas Cavalry (Debray's) (Davis' Mounted Battalion)

The 1900 census shows that all of their children had left home except his daughter Ava with her 2nd husband Charles Oliver Fuller and their daughter Sarah. One other 31 year old man who was aparently a farm hand was also listed. Adam is listed as a farmer and the census indicates they were living in La Porte, Texas at that time. Adam applied for a Confederate pension in 1908

The land for the Huffman Heritage Cemetery is said to have been donated by Adam. Adam Huffman, son of Robert and Susanna Clark Huffman set aside 1/2 acres land for his family cemetery. It is located on the right going North on the Crosby-Huffman Roads. The stones are old and some broken in half, and some missing, some unmarked graves.
