Robert migrated from Green River Kentucky to Opelousas, St. Landry Parish, Louisiana. He and Susanna Clark were married May 18, 1813, at St. Landry Catholic Church, Opelousas, Louisiana. Together they had 9 children. By the time that their last child was born several of their oldest children had started moving to the newly independant Republic of Texas probably to take advantage of land grants. Later he and Susanne followed their children to Texas and stayed there in Harris County until they died in the community that became known as Huffman Texas. d. 22 Dec 1841, Huffman, Harris Co, Texas (Age 56 years)
