William Waddoups, Jr.

Corinne, Box Elder County-William Waddoups, Jr., 77, Utah and Idaho farmer and former bishop of L. D. S. Juniper, Idaho, ward, died Sunday at nine-thirty p. m. in a Brigham City hospital following an illness of six months.

Mr. Waddoups was born July 27, 1870, in Bountiful, a son of William and Martha Page Waddoups. At an early age he moved to Lewiston, Utah, with his parents. In 1916 he moved to Juniper, Idaho, where he established a dry farm under the homestead act.

After serving 18 years as bishop of the Juniper ward he moved to Corinne in 1937.

He married Mary Jane Wilson March 7, 1894, in the L. D. S. Logan temple. Surviving are his widow and eight sons and daughters: Fenton Waddoups, Preston, Idaho, Thomas Waddoups, Bear River City; Cyrus Waddoups, Malad, Ida.; Reed Waddoups, Corinne; Mrs. Joseph Hinton, Hurricane; Mrs. William C. Winchester, Mrs. Franklin C. Moore and Howard Waddoups, Ogden; 37 grandchildren and 10 great grandchildren; also the following brothers and sisters; Ivan Waddoups, Dayton, Ida.; Wilford Waddoups, Franklin, Ida.; Horace Waddoups, Lewiston, Utah; Victor Waddoups, Logan; Mrs. R. W. Austin, Salmon, Ida.; Mrs. Harold Egbert, Preston, Ida.; Mrs. Les Peterson, Bancroft, Ida., and Mrs. Hazel Woodward, Franklin county, Ida.

Services will be conducted Wednesday at one p. m. in L. D. S. Corinne ward chapel by Bishop Julius Campbell. Burial in Lewiston cemetery will be directed by the Harold B. Felt funeral home, Brigham City.

Friends may call at the Waddoups home in Corinne Wednesday from ten a. m. until time for services.
