Mary J. W. Waddoups
Corinne, Box Elder County-Mary Jane Wilson Waddoups, 79, Corinne, died Thursday at 2 a.m. in an Ogden hospital following a long illness.
She was born Oct. 29, 1872, at Stennymoore, Durham County, England, a daughter of Thomas and Emma Goldsborough Wilson. She came to the United States at the ate of 19 and made her home at Franklin, Ida.
She was married to William Waddoups March 7, 1894, in Logan Temple, Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints.
They made their home in Lewiston, Cache County, until 1915, when they moved to Juniper Ida., and they came to Corinne in 1937.
She was an active L D S Church member, serving as president of the Relief Society and as a block teacher.
She was the mother of 10 children, of whom eight survive: Fenton W. Waddoups, Preston, Ida.; Thomas Waddoups, Bear River City; Cyrus Waddoups, Malad, Ida.; Reed Waddoups, Corinne; Mrs. Lena Hinton, Hurricane, Washington County; Mrs. Emma Winchester, Mrs. Leara Moore and Howard Waddoups, all of Ogden; 26 grandchildren, 18 great-grandchildren; a brother, Arthur Wilson, Wellsville, Cache County, and three sisters: Carrie Coley, Lewiston; Emma Lloyd, Idaho Falls, Ida., and Edith Tarbeth, Arimo, Ida.
Funeral services will be conducted Saturday at 1 p.m. in Corrinne Ward Chapel by Henry Norman, bishop.
Friends may call at Harold B. Felt Funeral Home, Brigham City, Friday from 7 to 9 p.m. and at the family home, Corinne, Saturday from 10 a.m. to time of services.
Burial will be in Lewiston Cemetery.
