GAYS MILLS -- Mrs. Alta Kelly, 65, Blue River, died Saturday (Feb. 21, 1970) in a Boscobel hospital.
The former Alta Bankes was a native of Friendship.
Survivors include four sons, Elmer Knause and Eldon Kelly, Rockford, Ill.; Bester Hays, Belvidere, Ill.; and Clyde Hays, Richland Center; four daughters, Mrs. Gerald Whitteaker, Ferryville; Mrs. Jean Whitteaker, Boscobel, and Mrs. Barbara Dobson and Mrs. Joyce Giddings, Blue River; a brother, Alf, Bell Center; two sisters, Mrs. Lena Watters, Boscobel, and Mrs. Alma Peaslee, La Crosse; 49 grandchildren, and 16 great-grandchildren.
The funeral will be at 10 a.m. Wednesday in Gays Mills Methodist Church. Friends may call after 4 p.m. Tuesday until 9:40 a.m. Wednesday at the Martin Funeral Home, Gays Mills.
