Edward P. Miller, 74, of Kiel, a retired farmer, took his own life Friday at home.
Funeral services will be at 9:30 a.m. Tuesday at Meiselwitz Funeral Home and at 10 a.m. at St. Peter and St. Paul Catholic Church, Kiel. The Rev. George Kiefer will officiate and burial will be in the parish cemetery.
Mr. Miller was born June 15, 1895, at Kiel, son of the late Mathias and Margaret Reichart Miller. Feb. 8, 1916, he married Louise Klein of the Town of Rhine at Kiel. They lived at Kiel for two years before locating on the Miller homestead farm. He retired in 1962.
The couple celebrated its golden wedding anniversary in February, 1966, and Mrs. Miller preceded him in death in September, 1967. Mr. Miller was a member of the Holy Name Society of the church.
Survivors include two daughters, Mrs. Ralph (Rosella) Bruckner of Rt. 2, Kiel, and Mrs. Leo (Arline) Schnell of Rt. 1, Valders; five sons, Leon of Phoenix, Ariz.; Arno of Elkhart Lake, Allen and Elroy of Rt. 1, Sheboygan; three brothers, Alfred of St. Cloud, Minn., Norbert of Kiel and Otto of Sheboygan; 31 grand-children and a great grandchild.
