"Jacob was the first of the Fudge brothers to move to Greene Co., OH. He purchased 73 acres in Caesars Creek Twp. from James Galloway for $345, 7 Jan 1824. His brother, John, moved to Greene County about the same time and probably lived with him for a while.
When Jacob died at age 33, his brother John was appointed guardian of his three children. Before he died he was in the process of buying an additional 103 acres from John Moorman for $309. The deed for this was completed 6 Feb 1832."
