Entered 80 acres, W half of the NE quarter of Sec II, Range 21, Twp 1 W. The Western boundary of this land is now Hoke Avenue; The parchment deed is dated 5 Jan 1831.
After he built his house in 1835, his log cabin was used as a trading post for Indians. The cabin was dismantled ca. 1875.
