Mr. Schrougham, 73, was a resident of Greenwood. He was born in Nashville June 5, 1916 to Omar and Alta Clark Schrougham.
He worked for 43 years at Arvin Industries, retiring in 1980. He was a member of Arvin's Century Club and of the First Baptist Church in Greenwood.
Mr. Schrougham was married to Margaret P. Anderson, and she survives. Other survivors include a son, Maurice E. Schrougham of Greenwood: five brothers, Clovis Schrougham of Needham, Merrill Schrougham of Morgantown, Warren Schrougham of Columbus, Edwin Schrougham of Salt Creek Road and Max Schrougham of Trafalgar; two sisters Eva Ford and Faye Johnson, both of Greenwood; two grandchildren and two great grandchildren.
The Reverend Ronald L. Kerr conducted a service Wednesday January 31, at the Wilson-St. Pierre Greenwood Chapel. Burial was in Greenwood Cemetery. Arrangement were made in Florida.
