SHELBY - Mrs. Gladys Champion, 76, of Shelby, died Tuesday, Aug 5, 1997, at home.
A native of Cleveland County, she was the daughter of the late Will and Georgia McKee Pendleton.
She was a retired spinner with Esther Mill and a member of Lily Memorial Baptist Church.
Mrs. Champion was preceded in death by her husband Jack Champion.
She is survived by one daughter and son-in-law, Brenda and Bill Harrison of Shelby; one son, Joe Champion of Tucker, Ga.; one sister, Edna Gardner of Shelby; four grandsons, Richard Wright, Scott Harrison, B. J. Harrison and Kevin Champion; two granddaughters, Donna Grayson and Kim Champion; three great-grandchildren, Jack Grayson, Tasha Grayson and Mandie Grayson.
Burial will follow in Cleveland Memorial Park.
