Pearl Patterson, 61, Onawa, IA. died 29 June 1986, at Burgess Memorial Hospital in Onawa after a long illness.
She was born 31 May, near Smithland, IA., to John Earl & Fannie (Vaught) Watkins. She was raised in Anthon, IA.
On 7 Mar. 1954, she married Paul Patterson in Sioux City, IA. The couple moved to Ticonic, IA. from Sioux City in 1974 & to Onawa in 1976. He died on 1 Jan. 1981 in Omaha, NE.
She was a seamstress at Aalfs Manufacturing Co. in Sioux City.
Survivors 1 son, John Patterson of Ft. Belvoir, VA.; 2 daughters, Janice Patterson of Ft. McClellan, AL. & Janet Patterson of Moorhead, NC.; her step-mother, Doris Rennecker of Correction, IA.; 4 brothers, Verle Watkins of Cape Girardeau, MO., Floyd Watkins of Sergeant Bluff, IA., Lester Hughes of Minneapolis, MN. & Melvin Hughes of Phoenix, AZ.; 5 sisters, Hazel Sutton & Mrs. Etta (Raymond) Baker both of Sioux City, IA., Mrs. Opal Thompson & Mrs. Gladys (Harold) Cunningham both of Fremont, NE. & Mrs. Alta (James) Gaines of Riverton, WY. & 2 grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband; 3 brothers & 1 sister.
Services were held at 10 a.m. Wed. 2 July 1986 at Pearson Funeral Chapel in Onawa with Rev. Everett Epperson officiating. Mrs. Mac Whitcomb, organist accompanied soloist, Benjamin Quigley "In The Garden" & "Under His Wings".
Pallbearers were Benjamin Quigley, Jason Quigley, John Williams, Christopher Quigley, Kevin Quigley, Gene Friedrichsen.
Burial in Oto Cemetery. Arrangements are under the direction of Pearson Funeral Home.
