Grace Ellen Conner: DENVER - Services for Grace Ellen Conner, 101, Logansport, formerly of Mexico, will be held at 11 a.m. Tuesday in McClain Funeral Home.
She died at 3:20 a.m. Sunday, Aug. 24, 2003, in Miller's Merry Manor, Logansport. Born Aug. 29, 1901, in Macy, she was the daughter of George and Daisy McCarter Washington. She was married May 26, 1919, in Macy, to Lawrence Ellsworth Conner Sr, who died March 13, 1948.
A homemaker, Grace was the oldest member of Mexico Church of The Brethren.
Surviving are four children, Lawrence Conner Jr. and his wife, Harriet, Peru, Marilee Wildman, Logansport, Carolyn R. Conrad and her husband, Robert, Peru, and Janet K. Dalman and her husband, Jerry, Holland, Mich.; nine grandchildren, Eldon, Glenn and Larry Conner, Nancy Lewis, Diana, John and Matt Conrad, Ryan Dalman and Kristen Ryan; 10 great-grandchildren; and nine great-great-grandchildren.
Two brothers, Harold and Lowell Washington, preceded in death.
Pastor Todd Wenger will officiate at the services. Burial will be in Greenlawn Cemetery, Mexico. Friends may call from 6 to 8 p.m. today in the funeral home.
