Age 81, went to be with the Lord on Thursday, September 22, 2005 at her home, with her loving family by her side.
She was born on August 23, 1924 in Portland, MI the daughter of John and Elizabeth Blundy.
On October 21, 1944, June married the love of her life, Donald Hoffman. She was a member of St. Bernadette of Lourdes Church in Stanton.
She enjoyed trips to the casino, playing cards and spending time with her children and grandchildren at the lake. June was preceded in death by her parents; brothers, Albert, Leonard, Norman and Edward Blundy; sisters, Vera Hoover, Laura Kennedy, Pauline Belen and Dorothy Bishop. Surviving is her loving husband of 61 years, Donald Hoffman; 2 daughters, Jeanie (Ed) Utter of Holt and Vicki (Chuck) Stephens of Ionia; sister, Viola Thelen of Portland; grandchildren, Scott (Jennifer) Stephens, Maria (Lang) Himebaugh, Chuck (Amie) Stephens, Gayle (Blaine) Etcheverry, Kathy (Gregg) Mahlich, Mike (Jennifer) Stephens, Jamie (Shannon) Morehouse and Nikki Stephens; 9 great grandchildren.
The Mass of Christian Burial was celebrated at 11:00 a.m. Monday, September 26, 2005 at St. Patrick's Catholic Church, Portland. Rite of Committal followed at Portland Cemetery. The family received friends at the Schrauben-Lehman Funeral Home, 210 E. Bridge Street, Portland from 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. Sunday.
A Vigil Service was held at 8 p.m. Sunday. For those desiring, memorial contributions may be made to any cancer organization of one's choice, in memory of Mrs. June Rose Hoffman.
