Sylvia E. Riley, 91, of Boone County died Thursday, July 13, 1995, at Boone Hospital Center.

Services will be at 2 p.m. Sunday, July 16, at the Meador and Son Funeral Home in Sturgeon with the Rev. Jack Foley of Columbia officiating. Burial will be in the Mount Horeb Cemetery in Sturgeon. Visitation will be from 7 to 9 p.m.
Saturday, July 15, at the funeral home.

Mrs. Riley was born March 24, 1904, to the late Adrian and Minnie Alspach Stidham in Boone County. She married Odie Riley on Jan. 16, 1923, and he preceded her in death May 2, 1980.

She lived on a farm southwest of Sturgeon for 70 years and was a member of the Harrisburg Christian Church.

Survivors include a daughter, Eva Dene McCubbin of Sturgeon; a brother, Verdell Stidham of Harrisburg; two sisters, Leota Sword of Harrisburg and Minnie Hombs of New Franklin; and a grandson and two great-grandsons.

She was also preceded in death by a brother and four sisters.

Memorials are suggested to the Harrisburg Christian Church, care of the Meador
and Son Funeral Homes, Ogden and Davis, Sturgeon, Mo., 65264.
