Thelma Leota Stidham Sword, 83, of Harrisburg died Tuesday, Dec. 5, 2000, at Boone Hospital Center.

Graveside services will be held at 10 a.m. Saturday, Dec. 9, at Harrisburg Cemetery with the Rev. Herbert Owens officiating. Arrangements are under the direction of Memorial Funeral Home.

Mrs. Sword was born Dec. 4, 1917, in Harrisburg to Adrain Grandville and Minnie Bell Alspaw Stidham.

She married Conard Sword on March 4, 1933, in Howard County, and he preceded her in death.

She was a member of Harrisburg Christian Church.

Survivors include a daughter, Bennie Rose Bolton of Columbia; a brother, Jessie Verdell Stidham of Harrisburg; a sister, Minnie Eunice Hombs of Hallsville; two grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.

She also was preceded in death by a brother and five sisters.

Memorials are suggested to the Harrisburg Christian Church, Harrisburg, Mo., 65256, or to the Harrisburg Cemetery Association.
