Marshall, Succumbs Wednesday.


CHESTERTON, June 20.--Mrs. Roy Zane, age 58 years, well known resident of Porter, died Wednesday afternoon at 3:15 o'clock at her home following a long illness.
The decedent was born in Starke county, Ind., on March 7, 1883, her maiden name being Ivy Pearl Coslet. On Feb. 14, 1906 she was united in marriage to Roy Zane, of Porter, and since that time had resided there where Mr. Zane is marshal.
Surviving besides the husband are one son, Clyde Zane of Porter; one daughter, Mrs. Ralph Kyes, of Valparaiso; eight grandchildren; two brothers, Frank and Harry Coslet of Porter, and one sister, Mrs. James Brown, of Chesterton.
Memorial services will be held on Saturday at 2 p.m. at the Flynn funeral chapel, conducted by Rev. Lloyd Smith, of the Evangelical church of Porter. Burial will be in Chesterton cemetery.
Friends may call at the Flynn chapel Friday afternoon and up until time of the services.
