Gaar, 98, of Winnfield died at 12:45 p.m. Monday, March 14, 1994, in Parkview Nursing Home.
He was a member of New Hope United Methodist Church and was a veteran of World War I. He was employed by the state highway department.
Survivors include two sons, Lee Gaar of Hodge and Bishop Loy Gaar of Dodson; five grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren and two great-great-grandchildren.
Friends may call from 4-9 p.m. today and from 8 a.m. until time of services Thursday in the funeral home.
