Dylan Cole Schaffer, 17, died Saturday, March 21, 2009, at St. Francis Hospital in Wichita.
He was born Jan. 10, 1992. He attended East High School before transferring to the Metro Boulevard school. He enjoyed basketball, cars and family gatherings, and was very giving to others.
He is survived by his parents, Mike and Sue Schaffer of Wichita; a sister, Brandy Miller of Caro, Mich.; two brothers, Justin and Eric Schaffer, both of Wichita; one nephew; three nieces; his grandparents, Barbara Schaffer of Garden City, and Paulino and Sandra Ruiz of Caro; his great-grandmother, Elsie Ayliffe of Caro; and many aunts, uncles and cousins. He was preceded in death by his great-grandmother, JoAnn Harms; his grandfather, Ivan Schaffer; and two uncles.
Funeral was at East Side Community Church, 14242 E. 21st N., in Wichita.
