On Jan 9 1912, she married Thomas Marcellus Fowler, son of Joseph B. Fowler and Mary Elizabeth Wathen. They had two children, J. Wathen "Mike" and George Marcellus "Little Mike".
Following the death of her husband, Lizzie went to work in the local distillery and took care of her son, George Marcellus, during his illnesses.
She died of heart disease.
