MAYPORT - Mrs. Texas Hinderliter, 85, of Mayport RD 2 (North Freedom), died at 1:20 a.m. Friday, April 4, 1986, in Pennsylvania Memorial Home, Brookville.
Born January 10, 1901, in North Freedom, Armstrong County, she was a daughter of James and Ida (Snyder) Minich.
She was married on October 15, 1921, to Carl E. Hinderliter, who preceded her in death on September 9, 1976.
A homemaker, Mrs. Hinderliter had lived her entire life in the North Freedom community.
She was a member of the North Freedom United Methodist Church and the North Freedom Grange.
Surviving her are one son, James Hinderliter of Mayport RD 2; three grandchildren, Wade Hinderliter of Mayport RD 1, Mrs. Blake (Gail) Lettie of Mayport RD 2 and Cheryl Smith of Washington, Pa.; five great-grandchildren; one brother, Leon Minich of New Bethlehem RD 1; and one sister, Mrs. John (Juanita) Shaffer of Mayport RD 2.
She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, and a daughter, Mrs. Lois Smith.
Friends were received Saturday and Sunday at the Charles D. Alcorn Funeral Home in Hawthorn, where an 11 a.m. service was held Monday, April 7. Her pastor, the Rev. John Snyder of the North Freedom United Methodist Church, officiated.
Interment was in the family plot of the North Freedom Cemetery, Ringgold Township, Jefferson County.
