William Hilbert, Sr., of New Jerusalem, Berks county, who was sick with infirmities of old age the past several months, died and will be buried on Friday. Rev, William F. Bond will officiate.Mr. Hilbert was the son of John Hilbert and his wife, Elizabeth,
and was born January 23. 1827, in Rockland township and was a life-long resident of that vicinity. He livedon the farm which is at present occupied by his son. William F. Hilbert, at which place his former wife, Rebecca. (nee Frederick), died. Several years later he was married to Mrs. Mary Rohrbach, who survives, besides the following children of the first wife: William F., of New Jerusalem; Jeremiah, of Pottstown: Mrs.Orlando Neustadt, of Boyertown and Mrs. Hannah Frederick, of
Reading. Deceased was a member of the Lutheran congregation and served both as Deacon and Elder and a member of the Cemetery Board until two years ago.
