Theresa was the daughter of Fredrick Oscar and Frankie Mae (Adams) Thranert. Her obituary states she was born in DeQueen, Arkansas; however, her parents were living in Fort Worth at the time.

She married first Sinnett Reese on 15 May 1916 in Eastland County, Texas. Children were Thomas Frederick, Eva Kathleen, William Robert, and Buster Gene.

Theresa married second Herbert Bearden, son of William and Nannie J. Bearden. They had one child, Ella Joy.

Theresa lastly married Eugene Blake Baker on 20 October 1940 at Ranger, Texas. They had no children.

Mrs. Theresa Baker, 81, died at 6:20 p.m. Thursday, May 10, 1979 in Eastland Memorial Hospital after a long illness. Services were at 2 p.m. Saturday in First United Methodist Church.

The Rev. Burton Dennis officiated. Burial was in Oaklawn Cemetery, directed by Higginbotham Funeral Home, with Eastern Star Graveside Rites.

She was born August 5, 1897, in DeQueen, Ark. She moved to Texas with her family as a small child and settled in Fort Worth. She moved to Ranger during the oil boom and married Eugene Baker Oct. 20, 1940, in Ranger. She was a member of First United Methodist Church. She was a member of the Order of Star and was past matron of Eastern Star Chapter 443. She is survived by her husband; two sons, Tom F. Reese of San Marcos, Calif., and B. G. Reese of Del City, Okla.; two daughters, Mrs. O. B. (Eva K.) Poynor of Ranger and Mrs. Carter (Joy) Hart of Hubbard; a stepson, Don Bearden of Corpus Christi; two stepdaughters, Mrs. Phil (Alta) Shipp and Ms. W. M. (Corrine) Hurst, both of Gladewater; a brother, E. F. Thranert of Battle Creek, Mich.; five sisters, Mrs. Earl Babcock and Ivin King, both of Fort Worth, Grace Hamil of Dallas, and Helen Doughal and Fern Brown, both of California; 18 grandchildren; and 28 great-grandchildren.

Pallbearers were Speedy Clark, Joe Bennett, Charlie Garrett, Bill Parr, Bill Chandler, Hup Morris, W. C. Browning, and E. N. Higginbottom.
