Coalport – Mrs. Margaret Jane Spacht, 98, of Lyleville died yesterday morning in the Spangler hospital. She had been in good health until Thanksgiving day when she fell at the home of a daughter and suffered a fractured hip. She was born near Lyleville Sept. 14, 1859, a daughter of George and Mary Krise, and was twice married, first to John Lyle, who died in 1891, and then to S. D. Spacht, who died in 1937. Two sons and two stepchildren also preceded her in death. Surviving are two daughters, Mrs. Minnie Rowland of Patton and Mrs. Ruth Peterson of Altoona; a son, Harve Lyle of Punxsutawney; two step-children, Mrs. Bertha Klinger of Warren, O., and Ernest Spacht of Pittsburgh; 32 grandchildren, 37 great-grandchildren, and several great-great-grandchildren. Mrs. Spacht was a lifelong member of the Coalport E.U.B. church. Friends are being received at the Buck funeral home, Patton. (Altoona Mirror January 22, 1958)
