Diana was the 12th child of Cynthia Hayden and Deac. Theophilus Humphrey, Jr. Her siblings were: Twins: Flora and Fanny F. (died of scarlet fever at 19 yrs.). Lester Hayden, Theophilus Cornish, Cynthia, Tirzah, Minerva, James Edwin, Maria, Marcus Cicero, Hiram Wolcott (died at 2 months old), Orpha, Electa Alvira (died at 16), Wolcott Julius, Homan Monson and Nelson Isaac.

She Married James Persons June 14, 1829 and they had 9 children: Alonzo C., Herrick E., Julia, James E., Cynthia, Lucy J., Harriet L., Mary E. and Wolcott Humphrey.

She and her husband resided in Sheldon and EAst Aurora, NY. She died when visiting her brother Theophilus in Leroy, Illinois.
