Murray-DeLora (Dee) Berger died Feb. 25, 1997. Born Nov. 30, 1909, in Ephraim, UT to Andrew & Louisa Carlson Bosen.

Married C. Everett (Ev) Berger Aug. 12, 1927 in Farmington, UT.

She was raised on the family farm in Preston, ID, one of 12 children. Her twin sister, Leora, was one of her best friends. Member of LDS Church.

Dee enjoyed fishing and bowling with her husband. Worked during World War II at Remington Arms making munitions and at Kearns Military Base where she made many lasting friendships. Worked with her husband in many capacities in organized labor, serving as both national & international president of labor auxillary organizations. Also served as state and local president of labor auxillaries and president of Salt Lake County Firemen's Auxillary. Her leadership in AFL-CIO labor organizations involved her in a variety of politcal activities. She was particularly proud of her friendship with Senator Frank Moss & Governor Calvin Rampton. Loved to garden and grew many unusual plants. Was an avid reader and wrote short stories for her children. Known by many as a kind hearted person with a feisty dispostion.

Survived by husband, Ev, sons, Duaine "Buck" Topanga Canyon CA; Blaine (Elaine) Salt Lake City, Mike (Sharon) No. Ogden, Butch (Pat) Riverton; 15 grandchildren; 14 great-=grandchildren; twin sister Leora, Salt Lake City; brother Curtis, Preston ID. Preceded in death by parents, two brothers, seven sisters, son, Dennis, grandson, Eric, & great-grandson Jacob.

The family expresses their thanks to the kind staff at Alta Care Center, who have been particularly kind to Dee.

Funeral services will be held Mon. Mar. 3, 11 a.m. at Jenkins-Soffe Mortuary, 4760 So. State St., where friends may call Sun. 6-8 p.m. & Mon. 10-10:45 a.m.. Interment, Murray City Cemetery.

Dee asked that in lieu of flowers donations be made to the Heart Association, a cause she supported for many years.
