Benjamin Franklin Harrison (1848 - 1902)
Jeanette Sinderella Atwell Harrison (1846 - 1920)

Gertrude was 22 years old when she married Melton Ulysses Johnston, 23, on December 8, 1895.

On April 18, 1910,
Milton N. & Maggie Johnston, ages 38 & 36, owned a farm in Justice Precinct 2, Jack Co, TX. They had been married 12 years; Maggie had given birth to 6 children, but only 5 were living. Their children were Jaye, age 13; Bulah, 11; Jason M., 9; Escar, 7 (son); & Dollie 3. Milton farmed to support them.

On February 4, 1920,
M.V. & Maggie, ages 48 & 47, were still living on the farm they owned in Justice Precinct 2. Their children were shown as Joy, age 24; Beulah, 21; Escar, 18; Dollie, 13; & Lois, 2years and 1 month.

On April 9, 1930,
Milton U. & Maggie, ages 57 & 55, were still living on their farm in Precinct 2. Children living with them were Escar, age 28; Dollie, 21; & Lois, 18. Milton was working as a stock farmer with the help of his son, Escar.

Melton died in Jacksboro on June 15, 1939.

Margaret was living in Joplin, TX when she was admitted to Jack County Hospital in Jacksboro due to a cerebral hemorrhage. While in the hospital she contracted pneumonia dying at 8:30 a.m. on January 19, 1964. She was 94 years old. Lois Johnston was the informant on her death certificate. She was buried beside her beloved husband the following day.
