Married Benjamin Leroy Gunn, 25 April 1917, Salt Lake City, Salt Lake, Utah. Children - Mary Louise Gunn, Barbara Jean Gunn.

Provoan's Mother Succumbs. SALT LAKE CITY – Fanny Louise Ensign Gunn, 68, mother of Brigham Young University professor Richard L. Gunn, died Thursday morning at the LDS Hospital in Salt Lake City after a short illness.

She was born Aug. 4, 1898, in Salt Lake City, the daughter of George Albert and Mary Catherine Woodruff Ensign. She was married to B. LeRoy Gun, on April 15, 1917, in the Salt Lake LDS Temple.

An active member of the LDS Church she held numerous positions in auxiliary organizations on both ward and stake levels. She belonged to the Tabernacle Choir most of her adult life and sang with group on many tours including their trip to Europe in 1955.

In 1942 she went to work at the Remington Arms plant to help out with the war emergency. After the war, she worked for Utah Oil Company with which she stayed on as an accountant when they merged with the American Oil Company. She retired from that position in 1953.

She is survived by her husband; one son and two daughters, Richard L. Gunn, Professor of Art at Brigham Young University in Provo; Mrs. Keith (Mary Lou) Bult and Mrs. Edward D. (Barbara) Parker, both of Salt Lake City; 21 grandchildren and one great-grandchild; brothers and one sister; Grant Ensign, Albert Ensign, and Mrs. Joseph (Eloise) Geertsen, all of Salt Lake City, and Herman Ensign, of West Minster, Colo.

Funeral services will be conducted at noon Saturday at the Larkin Mortuary, 26 E. South Temple, in Salt Lake City. Friends may call the mortuary from 6 to 8 p. m. Friday and one hour prior to services Saturday. Burial will be in the Salt Lake City Cemetery.
