B.T. Roberts was the son of Titus and Sallie (Ellis) Roberts. He was the founder of the Free Methodist Church as well as Chili Seminary (now known as Roberts Wesleyan College). B.T. and his wife Ellen Lois Stowe had six sons and one daughter.
