Frederick Demuth, another of Lancaster's oldest citizens, has passed away. He died on Saturday night, in his 87th year, at his residence No. 36 South Duke street. His health has not been good for the past several months and for thirteen weeks he has been confined to the house with dropsy. His wife died a few years ago and shortly after that event his health gave way. His oldest son, Samuel J. Demuth, was buried ten days ago. He leaves three children, William and Albert Demuth, and Mrs. Caroline E. Becker.
