Services for Levah P. Gridley, 81, a former Pennellville resident who died Tuesday at Oswego City Hospital, will be at 2 p.m. Friday at Traub Funeral Home. Spring burial will be in Hillside Cemetery.

Calling hours will be 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. today at the funeral home, 110 N. Main St.

A native of Hastings, Mrs. Gridley lived more than 50 years in Pennellville. She was a teacher 50 years and retired in 1977 from the Phoenix School District. She previously taught in Hastings, Gilberts Mills and Pennellville.
She was a graduate of Oswego Normal School.

Mrs. Gridley was a member of Pennellville United Methodist Church and the Phoenix Historical Society. She was a life member of Elizabeth Caldwell OES Chapter and a member since 1920 of Aunitwe Campfire Girls, Central Square.

Surviving are three daughters, Dawn Wells of Camillus, Jane Gridley of Mexico and Susan Wood of Pennellville; three sisters, Mildred Brown of Ogdensburg and Abigail Herrick and Anna Faulter, both of Central Square; four grandchildren, two great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.
