Doris J. Fisher, age 83 of Countryview Assisted Living Center, passed away on Tuesday March 24, 2020 at Riverside Hospital in Columbus. She was born on August 30, 1936 in Kimbolton, a daughter of the late Wilmer Kennedy and Anna (Johnson) Kennedy.
Mrs. Fisher was a 1954 graduate of Cambridge High School. She was a member of the Ladies Moose, and the Ladies Eagles Auxiliary. Doris helped at many benefit events over the years, she helped with the Kimbolton Homecoming Committee and she enjoyed helping with the sack lunch program and coached softball for many year. Her life was spent helping others when she could. She was also a member of Southern Hills Baptist Church. She worked at March Electric for over 35 years, and had spent a few years at Colgate.
Doris is preceded in death by her husband Wayne Fisher in 1977; her parents; two sisters, Mary and Wanda Kennedy; and two brothers, Don and David Kennedy.
Surviving are her children, Danny "Duke" Gatrell, Alan "Jess" (Kimberly) Gatrell, Terry M. Gatrell, David "Butch" (Debi) Gatrell, Wendy Hall, Sherry (Tom) Feldner and Jeffrey W. (Annette) Fisher; a sister Martha Casey of Cambridge; two brothers, Tom and Robert Kennedy; grandchildren, Dawn Marie Tuck, Rusty Gatrell, Kevin Gatrell, Kallie Gatrell, Kaleb Gatrell, Danny Gatrell, Stephanie Gatrell, Michael "Mikey" Gatrell, Danielle Walker, Terry Wayne Gatrell, Curtis Gatrell, Dustin Luke Gatrell, abbie Gatrell Finley, Samuel Clay Gatrell, Thomas Hall, Diandra "Deedee" Hall, Deonna Hall, Autumn Fisher, Allyson Fisher, and Audrey Fisher; many great grandchildren and nieces and nephews, and a special fried Joan Schaub Boyd.
Burial will be in Mr. Hermon Cemetery.
