Mrs Audly McCarthy of 1436 W Main Street, wife of Howard McCarthy, was dead on arrival at Memorial Hospital Saturday evening after being stricken. She was 73.

Funeral services will be at 11 am Tuesday at St Paul Catholic Church, with burial in St Paul Cemetery. The rosary will be recited at Knapp and Smith Funeral Home, where the body rests, at 8:30 this evening.

Mrs. McCarthy was aborn at Shaftsburg June 9, 1896, the daughter of Charles and Della Oakes. She attened Shaftsbur schools and graduated from Perry High School.

She was married to Howard McCarthy at St Paul Church, 28 April 1918.

Surviving besies her husband are five daughters: Mrs. Clarence (Joyce) Ackerman and Mrs. James (Peggy) Martin of Durand, and Mrs. Robert (Pat) Huska, Mrs. Fred (Janet) Balcom and Mrs. William (Judy) Mallery of Owosso; four sons: Donald, William, Clarence and Timothy, all of Owosso; a brother Charels G Oakes of Iowa; a sister, Mrs. John Parks of Perry; 36 grandchildren, and four great-grandchildren.

A son, John died in 1945 and a brother, Gordon, preceded her in death.
