COFFEY, LEONARD, 72, of Wartburg, died Tuesday, April 29, 2008, in Roane Medical Center, Harriman.
Born May 10, 1935, he was the son of Lawrence and Essie Edwards Coffey, both of whom preceded him in death.
He was of the Baptist faith and loved Bluegrass music and playing the guitar for the Lord. He will be loved and missed by many.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded by brothers, Vance Coffey, David "Junior" Coffey, Frank "Buddy" Coffey and Larry Coffey Sr.; sisters, Ruby Coffey and Helen Conner; and nephew, Joe Coffey.
Survivors include his wife, Inez Coffey; son and daughter-in-law, Sidney and Joann Clark of Wartburg; daughter and son-in-law, Melissa and Carlos Stewart of Wartburg.
Grandsons, Darrell Clark and Ashley Stewart and fiancée Belinda Haynes, all of Wartburg.
Grand daughter and grandson-in-law, Natalie Stewart and Wayne Frasier of Memphis; sisters, Nellie Everett of Harriman and Wanda Abston and Linda Kilby, both of Oakdale; and a host of nieces, nephews and extended family and friends.
The family will receive friends from 5 to 8 p.m. Friday, May 2, in Schubert Funeral Home, Wartburg. Funeral service will follow, with Bro. Tommy Kilby officiating. Graveside service and burial will be at 11 a.m. Saturday, May 3, at Crab Orchard Church Cemetery, Oakdale.
