Thomas J. Bush, Sr., 64, passed away at his home at 1118 Crawford at 8:30 p.m. last evening following an extended period of ill health. He had suffered from Leukemia since Feb. 1944 and had been bedfast since July 1945.

He was born Dec. 28, 1881 in Harrison County, Mo. He came to this community in 1918 and was a fireman for the Katy Railroad for a time and later farmed near Service. He moved to Parsons in 1933 and worked at public work for a time, and then was a fireman in the boiler room of the Katy Shops for three years before ill health forced him to retire in 1944.

He was married at Oswego, Kans. May 17, 1921 to Ada E. Garretson of McCune, Kans. and she survives him. He is also survived by four daughters, Ada E. Bush, Mary Bush, Mrs. Arlene Fuller and Gloria Mashburn; nine sons, James, Wilbur, Thomas, Wayne, Charles, Henry, Robert, Clyde & Claude; five grandchildren, two brothers, Charles & Buckley Bush and one sister, Mrs. Katheryn Miller.

Funeral arrangements are incomplete. The body lies in state at the Rude Funeral Home.

Funeral services for Thomas J. Bush, 1118 Crawford, who died Monday night will be at 2 p.m. Friday at the Rude Funeral home conducted by the Rev. George Hanley. Burial will be in McCune Cemetery. The body lies in state at the Funeral Home. In the account of Mr. Bush's death, in yesterday's Sun, names
of two of the children were given incorrectly. They are Mabel Bush and Mrs. Orlene Fuller.
