Frank B. Smith 65, a resident of the Wapello County Home, died Friday 4:30 a.m. 19 June 1965. He was born in Davis County, Iowa 17 October 1899, son of John Washington Smith and Nancy Ellen (Cross). He had lived in Wapello County for many years.
He was former employee of Glover Motor Company. Survivors include one son Kenneth Lee Smith and one daughter Foalie Fannid Morris and several grandchildren. Three sisters and three brothers preceded him in death. The body is at Johnson Funeral Chapel.
The funeral for Mr. Smith is in charge of Rev. John Hynes, assistant pastor at St. Mary's Catholic Church. Burial will be in Hope Well Cemetery southwest of Ottumwa, near Blakesburg, Iowa.
Pallbearers will be Wally Jerred, Maurice Kelley, William Leonard, Marshall Johns, Roland Kutcher, and Leo Dennison.
The family has established a memorial fund payable to the Wapello County Home recreation fund.
