Born June 28, 1901 in Richfield, to Gustave Westman and Malinda Salisbury Blomquist. She was married to Francis Nichol Hood in the early 1920's; later divorced. Married LeRoy Fournier, September 25, 1935 in Richfield; he died January 30, 1971. She was a member of the LDS Church. She graduated from Utah State University and taught elementary, junior high and high school in Richfield. She was an active member of the Richfield Study Club and Daughters of Utah Pioneers. She was a well-known writer and was co-author of Richfields Centennial Book "Golden Sheaves From A Rich Field", published in 1964. She was also one of a four person committee directing the 1974 Sevier Stake Centennial Pageant. Survived by children, Mrs. Raymond (Margaret) Timoney, Sandy; John N. Hood, Farmington, New Mexico; Robin F. Hood, Bountiful; Rene H. Fournier, Salt Lake City; Jeanette Fournier, Bayonne, France; 17 grandchildren; 33 great-grandchildren; three great-great-grandchildren.
Funeral services Saturday, November 28, 1 p.m., Springer-Turner Funeral Home Chapel, 260 North 400 West, Richfield, where friends may visit with the family from 11:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. prior to the service.
Interment: Richfield City Cemetery.
