AMANDA M.S. BLOMQUIST
Richfield--Mrs. Amanda Melinda Salisbury Blomquist, 81, died Friday at 5 p.m. in her residence here of causes incident to age.
She was born April 8, 1866, in Washington, Washington County, a daughter of Oke and Elizabeth Salisbury. She came here with her parents, who were pioneers of Richfield.
She was married to Gustava W. Blomquist on March 21, 1889, in the Manti Temple of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints.
She was active in civic and LDS church organizations throughout her life. She worked in the Relief Society presidency for five years and on the Mutual Improvement Assn. and religion class boards of the First ward chapel. She was a member of the burial committee of the Relief Society for 20 years and a block teacher for 30 years.
Funeral services will be conducted Tuesday at 2 p.m. in the First LDS Ward Chapel. Friends may call at the family home, Monday evening and Tuesday until services. Interment will be in the Richfield Cemetery.
