MILDRED N. HAWK SERVIS, 85, died at 3:47 p.m. Jan. 23, 2007, at Lima Memorial Health System.
She was born Feb. 15, 1921, in Big Heart, Okla., to John A. and Lenna G. Heffner Hawk, who preceded her in death. On April 7, 1945, she married Harry "Red" Servis, who died April 13, 1995.
Mrs. Servis was a self-employed seamstress and had worked at Westinghouse Electric Corp. She attended Grace United Methodist Church. She loved to go fishing and camping with her family.
Survivors include a daughter, Linda J. (Gregory) Smith, of Lima; two brothers, Richard (Betty) Hawk, of Lafayette, and Russell (Carla) Hawk, of Lima; three sisters, Mary Barber, of Beaverdam, Catherine (George) Herron, of Rockport, and Adah Frances Tussing, of Waynesfield; two granddaughters, Darci (Tom) Blankenship Shuey and Marci (Andrew) Bauman; two great-grandsons, Blaine Gregory Blankenship and Hudson Drew Bauman; and several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by three brothers, Jacob, John Jr. and Oliver Hawk; and five sisters, Helen Lawrence, Bertha Holt, and Edith, Dertha and Margaret Hawk.
Services will begin at noon Saturday at Chiles-Laman Funeral Homes, Shawnee Chapel. Becky Bodey will officiate. A private burial will be held at a later date in Memorial Park Cemetery.
Friends may call from 10 a.m. until time of services Saturday at the funeral home.
Memorial contributions may be made to the Beaver dam Rescue Squad.
