Services for Wilkie C. "Dice" Kelly, age 83 of Columbia will be held at 10 a. m. Saturday, February 14, 2009 from the chapel of Riser Funeral Home with the Rev. Don Wright officiating. Interment will follow in the Duchesne Cemetery at Hebert. Visitation will be from 4:00 PM until 9:00 PM Friday February 13, 2009 at Riser Funeral Home, Columbia. Mr. Kelly was born on February 16, 1925 in Columbia to the union of John Joseph Kelly and Idell Duchesne Kelly. He was preceded in death by his parents and his first wife Olean Kelly, his son Gary Kelly, his grandson; Roy Kelly, his sister: Shirley Sellers, his brothers: Doc Haughton Kelly, Paul Kelly, and John Richard Kelly. He was a maintainence man with Columbia Mental Health Center until his retirement. He was also a U. S. Army Veteran of World War II. Survivors include his wife: Bertie Floyd Haring Kelly of Columbia, his step-son : James Haring, Jr. of Wisner, his step- daughters: Elaine Kelly of Wisner, Grace Adkins and husband Gary of Columbia, Mary Smith and husband: Robbie of Wisner, and Karen Fortenberry of Winnsboro, his brother: Wiley R. Kelly and wife: Joann of Hebert, his sisters: Wilma Kelly Duffey of Sterlington and Johnnie Kelly Peters of Texas, his granddaughter: Rebekah Wyant and husband: Tony of Columbia, his grandson: James Kelly and wife: Janice of Winnfield, and many step grandchildren , 19 great-grandchildren and 1 great-great-grand child. Pallbearers will be Donald Paul Broussard, Travis Broussard, Ronald Duffy, Richard Kelly, Allen Maxwell, and Dennis Kelly. Honorary pallbearers will be Wade Kelly and Robbie Duffy.
