BROOKS - Charles C., Sr., 62, of Tuscarawas Road, R. D. 2, Beaver (Ohio Township), died Sunday, August 3, 1958 at 12:15 a.m. in Rochester General Hospital, after a brief illness. Born May 2, 1896, in Industry, where he was a lifetime resident. Mr. Brooks was employed as a conductor in the transportation department of the Crucible Steel Company, Midland. He served for many years on the Grievance Committee of CIO-USA Local No. 1212, of which he was a member. Surviving are his widow, Mrs. Mary J. Brooks; two sons, John W., and Charles C., Jr. of R. D. 2, Beaver (Ohio Township); four daughters, Mrs. Dolores Boyer, Mrs. Lavina LeFebvre, Misses Patricia L., and Mary Margaret Brooks, all of R.D. 2, Beaver (Ohio Township); one brother, Herbert Brooks, Joppa, Md., and three sisters, Mrs. Anna Medling, Elmhurst (Amherst), O.; Mrs. Lenora McClain (McLane), Shippingport, and Mrs Josephine Joyce, Cuyahoga Falls, O., also 11 grandchildren. Friends are being received in the Cannon Funeral Home, 848 Midland Avenue, Midland. Requiem Mass will be sung Wednesday, August 6, at 10 a.m. in the Presentation R.C. Church, Midland, with the Rev. Father Francis E. Paul officiating. Internment in Oak Grove Cemetery, Industry Township.
