EMMA BIERMAN, 64, IS CALLED BY DEATH
"Emma Bierman, 64, widow of Herman Bierman whose death occurred in February 1934, passed away at 7:45 o'clock on Friday morning at the Oregon City hospital. Although she
had suffered from diabetes for some time, she was not taken seriously ill until Wednesday evening, when she was moved to the hospital.
"Mrs. Bierman, whose home was at 514 Pleasant avenue, was the mother of 12 children, 10 of whom grew to maturity and survive. She was born Emma Siebken, April 11, 1871, in Davenport, Iowa, and was married in that city, coming to Oregon with her family 26 years ago. She was the daughter of the late Mr. and Mrs.Christian Siebken.
"Surviving are 10 children and 14 grandchildren. the children are Elsie Edwards of Everett, Wash.; Jeannette Caine of Portland, Rudolph Bierman of Oakland,Cal.; Arnold F. Bierman and Leona Myers of Oregon City, Florence Eddins of Centralia, Wash.; Raymond Bierman of Monterey, Cal; Alice DeMange, Nell Wiley and Miss Evelyn Bierman of Oregon City. The grandchildren are Lee, Beverly and Ruth Gales, of Seattle, Randolph Caine of Portland, Gladys, Paul and Helen Bierman of Oakland, Cal.; Bertelle and Wilbur Bierman of Oregon City, Robert Eddins of Centralia, Wash.; Donald Myers of Oregon City, and Jack, Constance and Nancy DeMange of Oregon City.
"The body is at the Oregon City Funeral home. Arrangements have not been made, as the sons in California and the daughters in Washington are en route here to attend the services."
