Frank C. Markway, 69, died unexpectedly about midnight last night at his family home, 706 Walsh St. Mr. Markway was a building contractor. He was born March 21, 1887, in Wardsville, the son of Fred and Catherine Markway. He was educated in the Wardsville schools. Mr. Markway married Miss Frances Kolb Jan. 8, 1914 at Clinton, Mo. She died Feb. 3, 1955. He lived all his married life in Jefferson City.
He is survived by four sons, Everett, Ulysses, Francis and Donald Markway, all of Jefferson City; three daughters, Miss Carmelita Markway of the home, Mrs. Edward Coffelt of Jefferson City and Mrs. Joseph Frank of Linn; four brothers, Henry, Ben and Joseph Markway, all of Jefferson City, and Fred C. Markway of Wardsville; four sisters, Mrs. Leo DeBroeck and Mrs. Roy Stockman, borh of Wardsville, Mrs. J.B. Kolb of Jefferson City and Mrs. Louis Mehmert of Linn; and 17 grandchildren.
Mr. Markway was a member of Immaculate Conception Catholic Church. The Rosary will be recited at 7:30 p.m. Sunday at a local funeral home with funeral services at 9 a.m. Monday at Immaculate Conception Church with the Very Rev. Paul U. Kertz officiating. Burial will be in Resurrection Cemetery.
