Dennis Neal Street, 24, Memphis, died October 7, 1955, at Kennedy Veterans Hospital in Memphis from a brain tumor. He was born June 28, 1931, the youngest son of Joe Thomas and Myrtle Davis Street. He was a graduate of Ripley High School and spent four years in the US Navy as Mississippi Ens 2. Following his return from the service he had been residing in Memphis in the home of his brother, J.T., and attending Memphis State College. He was a member and vice-president of the Delta Sigma Pi fraternity, and a member of the Baptist Church. Services were October 9 at 3 pm at McBride Funeral Home Chapel with burial in Antioch Cemetery. Survivors include his parents; four brothers, Othor Street, Ripley, Elvin Street, J.T. Street, and Alton Street, all of Memphis; four sisters, Ollie Mae Wilbanks, Ripley, Edith Watson and Velma Harris, both of Memphis, and Nelta Paul Street, Ripley.
