Mary married Harlow Gilbert JOHNSON on February 14, 1924, and to them were born four children: Velma Irene, Edith Elaine, Fern Leona, and Homer Gilbert Johnson.

She graduated from high school at the School of Agriculture in Brookings. She married Harlow Gilbert Johnson on Feb. 14, 1924, at Brookings. They lived on a farm north of Brookings their entire married life. Mr. Johnson died in 1956 and she moved to Madison in 1963. She was a member of the Madison United Methodist Church.
She is survived by one son, Homer Johnson, Gingin, W.A. Australia; three daughters: Mrs. Kermit (Velma) Zingmark, Salem, SD; Mrs. William (Edith) Larson, Issaquah, Wash; and Fern Johnson, Whittier, Calif; nine grandchldren, four great-grandchildren, and two sisters: Mrs. Glen (Leona) Hartman, Hot Springs, SD; and Mrs. Lucile Svoboda, Lombard, Ill.
