The most pleasant event of the season was the marriage of Miss Leopoldina Wenzl of this place to Mr. Jacob Reuter of Table Rock, which occurred Sept. 20th, at the Catholic church in Steinauer. Rev. J.A. Reinhart spoke the words which made this couple husband and wife. After the ceremony, the happy couple returned to the home of the bride's parents just south of this city, where a bountiful wedding dinner was served in honor of the newly married couple. The bride is the beautiful and accomplished daughter of Mrs. and Mrs. Frank Wenzl, and is well known here, where she was born. Mr. Reuter is a well to-do farmer; and it was but recently that he took an eye to one of the fairest young ladies of Steinauer. The bride wore a lovely dress of light blue henrietta trimmed with silk lace and ribbon, and a bridal veil with a wreath of orange blossoms. The groom wore the conventional black. Miss Bertha Wenzl acted as bridesmaid and wore a dress of blue serge trimmed with silk and ribbon, also wearing a bouquet of orange blossoms. Joseph Reuter, brother of the groom, acted as best man. Mr. and Mrs. Reuter will soon go to housekeeping in a residence near Table Rock which is already being furnished by the groom for the reception of his bride. The Star extends congratulations to this newly married couple and wishes them a happy and prosperous married life. - The Steinauer Star
